Wijnfestivals in Italië
Wijnfeesten zijn van alle tijden. In de meeste gevallen is er alle reden om de druivenoogst te vieren. In dorpen en steden kun je als wijnliefhebber terecht om wijnen te proeven en kennis te maken met de wijnmakers die hun harde werken beloond zien met de oogst voor hun nieuwe wijnen.
Meest bekende wijnevenement van Italië: Cantine Aperte
Het landelijke evenement van Movimento Turismo Vino Italia is ongetwijfeld het bekendste wijn-evenement van Italië. Sinds de eerste editie van ‘Cantine Aperte’ (open kelders) in 1993 (eigenlijk de start van het wijntoerisme in Italië zoals we dat tegenwoordig kennen) is het uitgegroeid tot een jaarlijks wijnfestival waar ruim 6 miljoen bezoekers kennismaken met de vele gastvrije Italiaanse wijnhuizen. Waar er in 1993 slechts 25 wijnhuizen deelnamen, openen tegenwoordig ruim 20.000 wijnhuizen hun deuren.
Wanneer zijn de wijnfeesten in Italië?
Wijnliefhebbers die graag wijnfeesten en -festivals bezoeken, zouden er bijna een dagtaak aan hebben in Italië. Gedurende vrijwel het hele jaar zijn er volop mogelijkheden om een wijnfestival of oogstfeest mee te maken.
Soms is er een wijnfestival om de start van het wijnjaar te vieren. Maar meestal zijn de wijnfestivals of wijnfeesten (festa dell'Uva) in het najaar, om de oogst van de druiven met elkaar te vieren.

Cantine Aperte 2024
Datum: 25 en 26 mei 2024
Het eerste wijnevenement van het jaar, en tevens het wijnfestival waar alles mee is begonnen, is ‘Cantine Aperte’. Op de laatste zondag van mei, trekt dit evenement miljoenen wijnliefhebbers naar de verschillende wijnhuizen door heel Italië.

Calici di Stelle 2024

In de nacht van San Lorenzo (jaarlijks op 10 augustus) wordt er tijdens de wijnproeverijen onder de sterren geproost tijdens het wijnfeest ‘Calici di Stelle’
Cantine Aperte in Vendemmia 2024
Datum: varieert per regio/wijnhuis (in september en oktober 2024)
Tijdens de oogst biedt ‘Cantine Aperte in Vendemmia’ een unieke mogelijkheid om de wijngaarden te ontdekken tijdens het plukken van de druiven.
Cantine Aperte a San Martino 2024
Datum: tussen 4 en 12 november 2023
In november kun je tijdens ‘Cantine Aperte a San Martino’ meerdere dagen van de nieuwe wijnen van de laatste oogst proeven.
Cantine Aperte a Natale 2024
Datum: varieert per regio/wijnhuis (in december 2024)
Als afsluiting van het jaar kan er in december wijn worden geproefd (in ingekocht voor de december-feestmaand) tijdens de ‘Cantine Aperte a Natale’.

Vino al Vino
Het wijnfestival Vino al Vino wordt al sinds 1995 in het derde weekend van September georganiseerd. Maak kennis met de lekkere Chianti wijnen van de deelnemende wijnhuizen uit Panzano.
OnlyWine
Het wijn-evenement Only Wine in Città di Castello (Umbrie) staat vooral in het teken van opkomend talent. De 100 beste kleine producenten (wijnmakers zijn jonger dan 40 jaar, het wijnhuis bestaat minder dan 15 jaar of de wijngaarden zijn maximaal 7 hectare groot) tonen hun innovaties tijdens het festival.
Palio del Chiaretto
Eind mei, begin juni kunnen wijnliefhebbers bij het Gardameer in Bardolino terecht voor het wijnfestival Palio del Chiaretto. Naast de lekkerste wijn heerlijk eten kun je hier ook volop genieten van muziek.
